== | ==Crushing Speed== | ||
There are 4 variables that effect the processing speed of the Crushing Wheel: RPM, stack size, recipe duration, input delay. The recipe duration is a number assigned to each recipe as shown in the following table below. The input delay is the number of ticks it takes for an item to be inserted into the crushing wheels, The input delay is set by the component inserting the items and is 1 for any funnel, 3 for any chute, and 27 if thrown directly to the crushing wheel. Be aware that the use of belts to feed the funnel will add more delay.
=== Crushing Speed Formula ===
To calculate the exact number of game ticks it take to process an input, use this formula:
<math>\text{processing time (ticks per stack size)} = \left\lfloor \frac{\text{recipe duration in seconds} - 20}{\max \left(0.25, \min \left( \frac{\frac{\text{RPM}} \text{50} \times 4}{\log_2(\text{stack size})}, 20 \right)\right) } \right\rfloor + 1 + \text{input delay} </math>
===Recipe Duration Table ===
If a recipe doesn't appear in the table is duration is probably 100, because that's the default value.

Setting Up Crafter for Crushing Wheels
1) First, arrange the crafter as follows. Note that direction of the arrows (black lines). It is critical that these are in the right direction or it may not work. Use the wrench to rotate them as needed.
The central column needs to point down with the others facing inwards to the centre.
2) You can merge the edge crafters from the back. This will make it easier to input the andesite alloy needed.
3) You can feed in the andesite via a chute or hopper from the top.
4) Then add the planks in a + shape with stone in the middle
Supply it with kinetic power via a cog on the side.
Build Order
The Crushing Wheel is a high-level device among the Create items. The diagram below shows which items must be built before being able to create a Crushing Wheel. A list of all item dependencies can be found on the Build Order page.

Usage
Two Crushing Wheels must be placed next to each other horizontally or vertically one block apart. Both wheels must be given opposite rotational force. Any items to be crushed must be inserted where the wheels rotate inwards.

Crushing wheels can be automated by placing a vanilla hopper at the top directly between the wheels and either a depot or conveyor belt below. Materials will be fed through the top hopper. See image Crushing wheels setup.
Crushing
Some recipes have outputs that only happen by chance.
Crushing Wheels and Millstones can apply the following recipes to items inserted from above:
Crushing Speed
There are 4 variables that effect the processing speed of the Crushing Wheel: RPM, stack size, recipe duration, input delay. The recipe duration is a number assigned to each recipe as shown in the following table below. The input delay is the number of ticks it takes for an item to be inserted into the crushing wheels, The input delay is set by the component inserting the items and is 1 for any funnel, 3 for any chute, and 27 if thrown directly to the crushing wheel. Be aware that the use of belts to feed the funnel will add more delay.
Crushing Speed Formula
To calculate the exact number of game ticks it take to process an input, use this formula:
