The Precision Mechanism cannot be crafted in a crafting table. Instead, it must be produced via Sequenced Assembly. Deployers must be used to imprint various materials onto a Golden Sheet.

Manual Setup

Precision Mechanisms can be made manually with a Hand Crank.

Materials:

Note that the Cogwheel, Large Cogwheel, and Iron Nugget will not be consumed.

Steps:

  1. Place the Depot on the ground.
  2. Place the Deployer 1 block above the Depot, facing down.
  3. Place the hand crank on the shaft of the Deployer. Test to verify you have it on the right side.
  4. Place the Golden Sheet onto the Depot.
  5. Place the Cogwheel into the hand of the Deployer. Turn the hand crank to press the cogwheel onto the sheet. You should see it change in shape.
  6. Place the Large Cogwheel in the Deployer’s hand and repeat step 5.
  7. Place the Iron Nugget in the Deployer’s hand and repeat step 5.
  8. Repeat steps 5-7 four more times.
How to make a Precision Mechanism

If you accidentally take the incomplete item off of the Depot, no big deal. Simply put it back on and continue as if nothing happened.

Once this process is complete, there is an 80% chance that you will get a completed Precision Mechanism! However, there is a 20% chance you will get a random piece of salvage. If that happens, you will need to start over. Keep in mind that none of your materials will be consumed in the process except for the golden sheet.
