For example, a source block placed on the top of the wheel, such as the third scenario from the top, will generate the same amount of power whether it is placed directly on top of the wheel or 10 blocks above the wheel (along the y-axis).

Summary[edit | edit source]

The leftmost images demonstrate the water wheel in operation in four scenarios, with rotational power shown with Engineering goggles, in descending order.

The rightmost images show water placement for corresponding scenarios; green wool represents source blocks, and orange wool represents flowing water.

Note: the waterwheel does not recognize the vertical position of source blocks. For example, a source block placed on the top of the wheel, such as the third scenario from the top, will generate the same amount of power whether it is placed directly on top of the wheel or 10 blocks above the wheel (along the y-axis).
