Redstone Contacts allow Contraptions to convey redstone signals or activate Redstone Circuits.

When the operational faces of Redstone Contacts meet (indicated with a grey button-like square in the middle), they emit a Redstone signal. This holds true while one Contact remains part of an assembled Contraption.
Contraption Controls[edit | edit source]
Contraption Controls can be used to temporarily disable a Redstone Contact on a Contraption.
Elevator Contact[edit | edit source]

Redstone Contacts facing Redstone Contacts on an assembled Elevator will become Elevator Contacts. Redstone Contacts placed in the same X and Z coordinates and the same direction as an Elevator Contact will also become Elevator Contacts. Successfully implemented elevator contacts can be identified by the rose-coloured back as shown in the screenshot. This side should face away from the contact side.
