Usage[edit | edit source]
Sliding Doors will automatically close when a Contraption starts to move. On Trains, the doors will only open when arriving at a Train Station, and close when the Train departs. Behavior can be adjusted in Train Stations. When used with Elevator Pulleys, behavior can be adjusted in Elevator Contacts. Sliding doors can also be prevented from opening by onboard Contraption Controls filtered for them.
When two Sliding Doors of the same type are placed together with opposing hinges, they will open and close together. Like other Doors, sliding doors can be interacted with while on Contraptions, and can be opened and closed with Redstone while not on an assembled Contraption.
Sliding Doors have a unique animation in which they slide into the adjacent block. Andesite and Copper Doors appear to fold into themselves.
