Lava is a vanilla fluid block that has some uses in the Create mod.
Obtaining
If a Hose Pulley attempts to drain a body of 10,000 blocks of Lava, it is considered an infinite source.

Usage
Infinite Generation
The flow of lava can be used to generate particular blocks, beyond what is available in vanilla Minecraft. Flowing lava turns into Limestone on contact with flowing Honey. With flowing Chocolate, the result is Scoria.
There is no direct way to create Andesite from lava flowing onto another fluid. The recipe is only available in other versions of Create, such as Create: Above and Beyond.
