Placement
When attempting to place the Roller on the top face of a block, it will be placed one block above it, similarly to a Mechanical Mixer or Mechanical Press. Though it appears to take up a few blocks of space, it only takes up one. There is also Placement Assist functionality, allowing for easy placement of Rollers to either of two sides of a roller. The Roller can be picked up by sneak using a Wrench on it.
Clearing & Paving
The Mechanical Roller has three modes:
- Clear Blocks and Pave - The Mechanical Roller will break blocks in front of it at its own level, as well as one level below it. If its Filter is set, it will also break blocks one level below that, replacing them with the block in the Filter. Blocks broken by a roller have a chance to not drop.
- Straight Fill Below - The Roller will not break blocks, but will place blocks defined by its Filter straight below itself in available spaces as it moves.
- Sloped Fill Below - The Roller will not break blocks, but will place blocks defined by its Filter below it sloping outward in available spaces as it moves.
The Roller can place blocks up to 12 blocks below itself by default (Configurable.)
The Mechanical Roller functions when moved horizontally along the direction its facing. When moved to the side or up and down, it does not break or place blocks. When given Slabs as a filter, the Roller will place double slab blocks.
Filtering
The Mechanical Roller's filter will accept any block that is not a Stair block, Entity Block, or lacks collision. Adjacent Rollers will copy other Roller's filters, even if they are placed later.
