As of the current version of Create, there are 5 ways to generate rotational force.
Power Generation Blocks
Hand Crank (while player interacts)
Water Wheel (while touching flowing water)
Windmill Bearing (with at least one sail attached)
Encased Fan (facing downward, powered by redstone, and directly above a heat source)
Furnace Engine +
Flywheel (must be attached to a furnace, smoker, or blast furnace with a 1 block gap between eachother)
