The piston extension pole is an extension for the mechanical piston so when you put it on the back of the mechanical piston it will allow the piston to actually move because if you just place the piston it won't move. The piston extension pole can be expanded to as big as you would like, but the speed madders all on how you place the water on the water wheel. The extension poles can be placed vertically and horizontally and they will still work, they require slime blocks/super glue to be able to move more than one line of blocks.
