Sliding Doors are doors with special functions on Contraptions.

Usage

Sliding Doors will automatically open and close when a Contraption stops or starts movement, respectively. On Trains, the doors will only open when arriving at a Train Station, and close when the Train departs. Behavior can be adjusted in Train Stations. When used with Elevator Pulleys, behavior can be adjusted in Elevator Contacts. Sliding doors can also be activated by onboard Contraption Controls filtered for them.

When two Sliding Doors of the same type are placed together with opposing hinges, they will open and close together. Like other Doors, sliding doors can be interacted with while on Contraptions.

Sliding Doors have a unique animation in which they slide into the adjacent block. Andesite and Copper Doors appear to fold into themselves.
