Usage
Mechanical Saws are powered through rotational force, and when placed down facing to the side they will automatically chop down wood blocks in front of them. When chopping down a tree, it will automatically destroy the entire tree by only destroying the bottom-most block. This also works with 2x2 trees as long as at least the last block (horizontally) is mined using the saw.
When mechanical saws are placed facing upwards, logs and woods can be dropped on top of them to make them into stripped logs and stripped woods respectively. Furthermore, when dropping stripped logs or woods on top of the saw, it will make them into 5 planks per log, instead of the usual 4 when crafting. This way, it is more efficient than normal crafting. Additionally when an Andesite Alloy is dropped on the mechanical saw, 6 shafts are produced. Finally any stonecutter recipe can be applied using a filter, otherwise a random recipe will be selected. You can more easily place a mechanical saw facing up when you place it directly on a gear or shaft.
Mechanical saws are automatically powered when on a create contraption (cart, piston, pulley, ext.). You can mine a saw with either an axe or a pickaxe.
