Crafting[edit | edit source]
Name | Ingredients | Crafting Recipe |
---|---|---|
Cart Assembler | Any Log + Andesite Alloy + Redstone Dust |
Usage[edit | edit source]
The Cart Assembler can be placed on Rails. When the assembler is powered with redstone, blocks placed on top of the assembler will be attached to minecarts that pass through it as a Contraption. Use Block Attachment Utilities to attach more blocks.
Rail Type | When Activated | When Deactivated |
---|---|---|
Rail | Assembles Cart Contraptions | Disassembles Cart Contraptions |
Powered Rail | Assembles and releases Cart Contraptions | Disassembles and stops Cart Contraptions |
Detector Rail | Assembles unassembled Cart Contraptions, Disassembles Assembled Cart Contraptions | N/A |
Activator Rail | Disassembles Cart Contraptions. Unlike the other rails, the Cart Assembler is not required for this to happen. | N/A |
Value Settings[edit | edit source]
The Value Settings Screen can be accessed on the side of the Cart Assembler to change the cart contraption's movement modes.
- Always face toward motion
- Pause actors while rotating - Contraption Actors such as a Deployer will not work while the cart rotates.
- Lock Rotation - the contraption will not change alignment along with the cart, and will retain the same rotation from when it was built, much like the effect of a Mechanical Bearing on a cart contraption.
Cart Contraptions[edit | edit source]
Similarly to rotating structures, having a Mechanical Bearing in the structure will cause the attached part to keep the same alignment as the cart moves.

Cart Contraptions made with a Furnace Minecart can automatically take Coal as fuel from onboard inventories.
Despite having collision with mobs or items, Cart Contraptions do not collide with blocks unless the appropriate world-interaction block makes the collision.
Cart contraptions will not travel through nether portals.
Item Form[edit | edit source]
Cart Contraptions can be taken into the inventory by right clicking them with a Wrench (Configurable.) Excluding entities, this keeps all storage and cart configuration. By default, if certain blocks are present on the Cart Contraption, such as Spawners or Budding Amethyst, the contraption cannot be picked up with a Wrench (Configurable.) By default, Cart Contraption items cannot be placed in inventories such as Shulker Boxes or Toolboxes (Configurable.)
Carriage Contraptions[edit | edit source]
Carriage contraptions are moving structures connected directly to two minecarts.
Carriage Contraptions can be made by connecting two Cart Assemblers with minecarts using a structure. This will not work if the two minecarts are linked together by Minecart Coupling.
Carriage contraptions can also be disassembled by right clicking with a Wrench.
Aside from movement, there is no difference between the functions of a Carriage Contraption and a Single Cart Contraption. However, the smoother movement is better for moving mobs or items with only collision.
