Stress, measured in Stress Units (SU), is the amount of force being exerted against the force applied. For every machine you add to a system, the more force is taken from a network. The amount of SU available can be increased by adding a water wheel, windmill, or other forms of rotation to the network. When the amount of SU goes below zero, the entire network shuts down, as it becomes Overstressed. Stress can be displayed using a Stressometer or Engineer's Goggles.

Here is a small demo set up, showing stress using the Engineer's Goggles

Stress is a term used to describe the kinetic form of power used in Create, measured in Stress Units (SU).

Machines drain stress from a network, working faster and using an amount of stress that is directly proportional to the angular velocity (measured in RPM) of their input. The amount of stress available can be increased by adding Water Wheels, Windmills, or other Generators to the network.

When a network's total stress impact (stress generation) exceeds its total stress capabilities (stress use), the entire network shuts down, as it becomes Overstressed. Stress can be displayed using a Stressometer or with Engineer's Goggles.

The stress mechanic in its entirety can be disabled in the Config. The amount of stress machines generate or consume can also be adjusted per machine.
